Employment - Banquet Porter
We are currently recruiting for the position of:
Classification: Porter
Department: Banquets
Starting September 1, 2006
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with all corporate policies and procedures to ensure guest satisfaction
- Able to exceed the guests’ needs by providing service appropriate to a high-caliber dining experience in a high paced environment
- Able to attend to work reliably
- Able to work safely and securely in a manner that protects the integrity and safety of the guest, associates and hotel
The successful candidate will possess the following skill-set:
- ‘Serving It Right’ Certificate preferred
- ‘Food Safe’, Level One preferred
- Ability to clearly read and understand Banquet Event Orders
- Universal Service Standards (USS) skills and demonstrate constantly displaying any and all
- Able to safely lift equipment of awkward size and to a weight of 25 lbs
- Previous experience in the set up and tear down of banqueting or other formal food and beverage service preferred
- Previous experience with audiovisual equipment preferred
- Must be detail oriented
- Proven previous experience working independently and as a team player
- Proven ability to multi-task and take direction well required
- Proven Safe Work and reliable attendance record required
- Proven organizational skills required
- Flexible to a changing schedule
- Second language an asset
