Annual Calendar of Events

Don't be fooled by the tranquility of picturesque Harrison Hot Springs Village. Amid natural mineral hot springs and the area's spectacular beauty, at its core beats an artistic and cultural heart. Throughout the year, the village is host to a mix of themed activities and events. Foremost among them are the World Championship Sand Sculpture Competition and the international Harrison Festival of the Arts.

February - Valentine's Day is a time designed to leave the kids behind and spend some time for two.  Enjoy curling up with a book by the fire, a couples massage in Healing Springs Spa, a hot springs soak in the cool winter air, dining and dancing in The Copper Room.

March/April - Easter weekend at Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa

May - Mothers Day is a time to celebrate that special woman in all our lives. You don’t have to wait a year to say thank you – our Mothers Day Brunch in The Copper Room can be just another wonderful way to you care.

July - Canada Day celebrations are a time to hail the nation's birthday, starting with a pancake breakfast at Harrison Fire Hall. Raise the flag, put on your pin, and wear your favourite maple leaf tie as this is a time to show you’re Canadian on the outside. Find a good spot on the beach, the day ends with a fireworks show over Harrison Lake.

July - Harrison Festival of the Arts; for 30 years, this 10-day celebration of world music, theatre, dance and visual arts takes place throughout the Village.

July - Dragon Boat Festival – find your spot on the beach and catch these magnificent craft and their teams as they paddle across Harrison Lake.

September - World Championship Sand Sculpture Competition brings the best master sculptures in the world back to Harrison each year to compete. A small gate admission allows visitors to view their finished masterpieces until October.

October - Thanksgiving Weekend is a beautiful time to enjoy the short cool days of early Autumn, grab a sweater and take a hike amidst the changing colours. Afterwards – its our special Turkey dinner in The Copper Room with the family.

November - The Bald Eagles come to Harrison. See these beautiful birds on the Harrison River as they glide overhead and swoop down to feed on the spawning salmon.  River sightseeing tours available.

December – Christmas Carols, Santas arrival – the festive season at Harrison offers Christmas parties and family getaways to remember, with a selection of always-delightful holiday offerings and events.

December - New Year's at Harrison is a great way to round out the year. The special New Year's party package includes a gourmet dinner in the Copper Room before ringing in the New Year with entertainment and dancing.
